Your mission
- You are responsible for the implementation of consulting projects on site at our international and national customers
- There you develop effective cost reduction measures and product group optimisation plans (Value Creation Plan) for the procurement department, connected with, for example, the application of potential analyzes, the creation of tenders, the application of commercial as well as technical purchasing levers or the support of make-or-buy decisions
- In your role you are also responsible for the development of our analysts and junior consultants on the projects
Your profile
- A completed master’s degree from a well-known university or even better: an MBA or PhD
- 5 years of professional experience with another management consultancy or in the procurement department of an international, market-leading company, ideally with project experience
- A deep and fundamental understanding of procurement and experience in areas such as category management, commodity group strategies, material cost reduction, negotiations and supplier days
- Ideally, you also have specific expert knowledge in one or more indirect or direct product groups, e.g. in the area of raw materials, plastics, electronics or mechanical parts
- Experience in leading procurement initiatives and managing a large number of procurement measures
- You are fluent in English, German and perhaps speak one other foreign language as well
- In addition to your analytical and systems-oriented way of thinking and working, you should also have a good feel for situations and people
